How to draw Mr. Krabs
Hey there, Doodleers!
Today we're heading back to Bikini Bottom to draw SpongeBob's money-loving boss—Mr. Krabs! He's got giant claws, skinny little legs, and eyes that stick way up off his head, so don't worry about making him look too weird. Weird is pretty much the goal.
Grab your pencil and let's draw this crusty crustacean!
Quick Tip: Always start your drawing lightly with a pencil—this way, you can easily erase any little mistakes, and your final artwork will look clean, neat, and totally awesome!
Step 1
Start with a rounded triangle for the body and two circles for his claws.
Step 2
Add a jellybean for his mouth, two curved lines for his shirt and pants, and his pant legs below.
Step 3
Give him some teeth and a tongue in that jellybean. Two long eyeballs at the top of the rounded triangle. Start the squiggle of his nose and another two squiggles for his open claws. Add his collar and belt buckle.
Step 4
Give him some eyelashes and complete the claws by adding some tips. Finish his squiggly nose and give him some shirt sleeves. Give him a belt by spacing out a few rectangles. Then give him some pointed tips for his feet.
Step 5
Add his pupils on his eyeballs. Connect his claws with some arms, and finish out the details of his belt buckle and pants.
Step 6
Carefully erase all the initial pencil guidelines, leaving a clean, inked drawing of Mr. Krabs ready to be colored!
Step 7
Bring Mr. Krabs to life with vibrant colors! Use bright red for his shell, variations of blue for his shirt and pants, a nice gold belt buckle and some seafoam green eyeballs. Don’t hesitate to add your own creative touch—try different expressions or fun accessories!
